Dr. Craig Stevens – Principal
Dr. Craig Stevens has been the principal of High Plains Elementary School for the last four years. He began his career in education in 1989 as a 5th grade teacher and has served in education as a classroom teacher, an assistant principal, an adjunct university professor, and an elementary school principal.
Dr. Stevens has been an elementary school principal since 2001. His doctorate dissertation topic was “Elementary Principals’ Perspectives in Developing and Sustaining Professional Learning Communities.”
Jan Schneider – Assistant Principal
Mrs. Schneider has been the assistant principal of High Plains Elementary School for the last twelve years. She began her career in education in 1986 as a 4th grade teacher. She has been a classroom teacher, a Title I coordinator, an MTSS coordinator, a literacy resource teacher, and an elementary assistant principal. Mrs. Schneider has a master’s degree in Educational Leadership and in Science Education.
