Welcome!

At the High Plains Library, everyone is welcome and everyone belongs. In our flexible, fun, safe, and inviting environment, students are encouraged to explore and discover with a growth mindset.

We support students on their reading journey by providing access to quality, diverse, inclusive, and relevant resources that support the school mission, curriculum, and learners’ interests.

Students regularly visit the library for story time and checkout of fiction and nonfiction books. We also conduct research and teach information literacy skills, which include locating, evaluating, and using information efficiently and ethically.

Junior Librarians

Fourth and fifth grade students who love reading, organizing, and helping others are invited to apply to be Junior Librarians. Duties include checking in returned books, shelving books, organizing shelves, and maintaining order in the library.
